About Dr. Fazıl Küçük Müzesi
The Dr. Fazıl Küçük Museum is located in North Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and is dedicated to Fazıl Küçük, who was elected as the first vice president of the Republic of Cyprus, established jointly by Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots. The museum displays historical documents and personal items belonging to Küçük. The house, built in 1925 from cut yellow stone, was acquired by Fazıl Küçük's family. The ground floor of the building served as a patient examination room starting in 1939, and from 1940 to 1958, it functioned as a clinic, while the upper floor was used as a residence. Until the establishment of the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT) in 1958, it served as a resistance headquarters for the Turkish people and was also the administrative office of the Halkın Sesi newspaper from 1942 until Küçük's death. It was organized as a museum on March 14, 1997, and was expropriated by the state on October 16, 2002.
