About Tombs of the Kings
The Tombs of the Kings is a large necropolis about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of Paphos harbour in Cyprus. In 1980, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Nea Paphos and Kouklia.
Worth knowing
The Tombs of the Kings is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is not actually the burial place of any kings; instead, it contains the tombs of high-ranking officials and aristocrats from the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
